Some parents have certain reasons for having their children learn from home as in different religions, dissatisfied with educational syllabus and so on. Now let’s move on to the pros and cons of Homeschooling for children. 

Pros of Homeschooling

Parents have certain advantages of Homeschooling their children:

  • Will be able to focus more on certain hard concepts and know if they can move on after the child has understood the concept
  • Parents will be able to make their children understand the religious and ethical concepts. 
  • Parents get to spend more time with their children than when they used to go to school.
  • The spouse gets a close connection when their children are being homeschooled
  • It is also easy to spend some small vacations with family when the school is in working mode. Wireless internet can be opened anywhere anytime to attend. 

Cons of Homeschooling

Certain disadvantages also occur at certain levels. 

  • Parents have to watch their children all day long and it becomes more difficult when they disobey or do something mischievous.
  • Parents have to be very patient when they see that their child is struggling to understand the concepts.
  • Should know how to handle the pressure and difficulties in moving at a pace more than that of school.
  • Motivating children to study can get difficult sometimes. 
  • Need to Keep an eye in reviewing the syllabus and decide which is best suited for your child. 
  • Have to spend more time finding the right friends for children that are in their class.
  • Interaction and communication between children is reduced.
  • Screen time has increased where the student has to keep their eyes focussed on the screen the whole time of class. 
  • Parents have to make sure that their children misused the facilities that they get. 
  • Difficult for working parents to look after their child and how well they study.
